Find a person across one private photo album.
Use the Mac camera or upload a clear face photo. Memories compares it with faces already indexed in the selected album and returns the closest photographic matches.
Face matching stays with the album
The app detects faces, creates numerical embeddings, and searches the selected album on the source Mac. It does not send your complete photo library to a remote face-search service.
A camera is optional
Desktop face search can use the Mac camera, and an uploaded face photograph remains available when camera access is unavailable or you prefer not to grant it.
Guests search only the album you share
A guest can submit a selfie through the shared album. The source Mac processes that search in RAM and returns photographs from that album; the selfie is not added to the library.
Model results need judgment
Face matches and facial attributes are estimates. Review a result before downloading or sharing it, especially where similar-looking people appear in the same event.
Try the workflow
Choose a useful face photograph, review the matches and try the fictional sample album.
