Does Memories upload my photo library?

No. Imported photographs, previews, face embeddings and analysis results stay in the encrypted library on your Mac. When you deliberately share an album, guests request selected album content from that Mac through its HTTPS address.

How does face search work?

Memories creates numerical face embeddings on your Mac and compares a camera or uploaded face photo with faces in one album. A match is a model estimate and can be wrong.

Does my Mac need to stay online for a shared album?

Yes. The current release hosts shared albums from the source Mac, so Memories must be open, the Mac must be online, and app access must be active while guests browse or search.

What happens after the three-day trial?

The 72-hour signup trial does not charge automatically. After it ends, app features are unavailable until a subscription is confirmed. Your encrypted local photos remain on the Mac.

Where is Memories available?

Memories is available in 145 App Store markets. Check your storefront for availability and local pricing. Downloading is free, and the separate three-day signup trial does not charge automatically. Continued access is ₹499 per month in India if you choose an Apple subscription.
